The format of a short story typically includes the following elements:

  1. Introduction: The introduction sets the stage for the story, introduces the protagonist, and provides some background information.

  2. Rising Action: This is the part of the story where the conflict begins to build. The protagonist encounters obstacles and challenges that test their abilities and determination.

  3. Climax: The climax is the turning point of the story, where the conflict reaches its highest point and the protagonist must make a critical decision or take decisive action.

  4. Falling Action: This is the aftermath of the climax, where the consequences of the protagonist's actions play out and the conflict begins to resolve itself.
